For a swimmer I have never scuba dived. I have no desire to see the living underwater world in person. This has nothing to do with my dislike of eating fish, but everything to do with being able to breathe. I like knowing the surface of the water is close and a simple tilt or turn of the head means air. When you are down under with artificial air attached to your back, that to me is nothing but fear and panic. No matter how beautiful and surreal the underwater world is, a picture is just fine.
